Johnny Cash Tribute Page

There is probably not a musician or music lover that ever lived during the last six decades that was not inspired by the "Man in Black". This is our little place in the world that pays homage and tribute to the man and his family, whom we all dearly love. You are gone but will never be forgotten.

A full-page ad of the March 12th, 1998 issue of Billboard magazine celebrates Johnny Cash's Grammy Award for Unchained as best country album. The ad features a photograph showing an enraged-looking Cash giving the finger to a radio. The ad reads: "American Recordings and Johnny Cash would like to acknowledge the Nashville music establishment and country radio for your support. Thanks to those who made a difference - you know who you are."

Country music used to represent horses, land, judgement day, family, hard times, whiskey, courtship, marriage, adultery, separatism, murder, war, prison, rambling, damnation, home, salvation, death, pride, humor, piety, rebellion, patriotism, larceny, determination, tragedy, rowdiness, heartbreak, love, mother, and God.

I'll fly a starship across the universe divide and when I reach the other side i'll find a place to rest my spirit if I can perhaps I may become a highwayman again or I may simply be a single drop of rain but I will remain and I'll be back again, and again, and again, and again, and again
